During the months of May and June stop in and meet the photographers, purchase signed prints or just browse some amazing photographs at the 1st Annual HOT SPRINGS PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL. (Gallery open from 6:00 – 8:00 Monday-Thursday). There will be an exciting line up of workshop opportunities (see website for times and dates) for all age groups and photographers of all ability levels. Internationally known photographers will be on hand to teach hands-on, intensive workshops.

D-Guy Maynard (dmaynardphotography.com), the renaissance man of photography, is an international award-winning photographer who has produced work in fashion, glamour, event, fine art, nature/macro, marine, astrophotography, and general commercial photography with magazines such as Maxim, Popular Photography, Outdoor Photographer, and many more.  He will lead a themed-style class with costumed models using sets built specifically for the purpose.

Steve Anchell (anchellworkshops.com), student of Ansel Adams, Brett Weston, and Minor White, and internationally known photographer, filmmaker, instructor, and author (The Darkroom Cookbook; Variable Contrast Printing Manual), will be on hand to premier his newest publication, Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Cameras: Getting the Most from Your MLC. Central Theater will host a book signing, film screening, and artist talk with Anchell. He will be teaching a three day workshop using models and mirrorless cameras in studio, street, and landscape photography.

Robert Trawick (trawickimages.com), whose FotoFacts international podcast helps educate photographers, will be recording from Central Theater as well as presenting a two-day workshop focusing on burlesque and alternative models.  Trawick, who has made the transition from documentary war photographer to fashion, portrait, and wedding photography, is well known for his fun-filled workshops and photo walks.
